This handset is Motorola’s first Google Android 2.1 version with an 8mp, xenon-flash camera.
The handset has major focus on the users that give priority to pictures and videos. The phone supports 10x digital zoom, a 720p HD camcorder and smart image capture, face detection, multi-shot (six shots in a row), face filter, red eye reduction and camera shake prevention. It also includes 8GB memory card.
The handset also supports Motorola’s Motonav satellite navigation but it does not run on Android 2.2, new version of Google’s mobile operating system that proposes quicker performance runs Adobe’s Flash technology that is used on a significant number of websites.
The new version of Google’s mobile operating system has been demonstrated at Google’s IO conference in May but till date no device has been found to run on Android 2.2 version and Motorola has not given any comments on adapting this technology.
The release date for Milestone XT720 is still pending.
