Livelihoods Improvement Project for the Himalayas, Uttarakhand

LIPH seeks to appoint qualified and committed professional for the following positions on contract basis initially for six months probation and on satisfactory completion of probation period, the term can be extended up to December 2012.

  • Chief Executive Officer (UPASaC): 01Post at Dehradun
    • Age: Maximum 50 Years
    • Qualification: Graduate in Commerce from recognized university and MBA with specialization in operations management and/or Master in Social Entrepreneurship with at least 15-20 years work experience in business development, social entrepreneurship and resource planning; at least 5-7 years experience in operations and supply/value chain management. Proficient in market analysis, experienced in venture capital management, good knowledge of budget & financial analysis, knowledge of company law for fulfilling statutory compliances, exposure to micro & small scale enterprise especially in rural areas, skills in undertaking due diligence of financial institutions (federations) & Micro and small enterprises (MSEs).
    • Monthly emoluments Maximum Rs. 84,000/- per month Cost to Project.
  • Manager-Enterprise Development: 01 Post at Dehradun
    • Age: Maximum 42 Years
    • Qualification: BBA or Graduate in any discipline and MBA with specialization in operations management and/or Master in social entrepreneurship with at least 08-10 years work experience in business development and resource planning with some rural exposure especially for the mountain areas with good knowledge of budget and financial analysis. Proficient in business modeling and analysis, exposure to micro and small scale enterprises especially in rural areas.
    • Monthly emoluments Maximum Rs. 45,000/- per month Cost to Project.
  • Manager- Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting: 01 Post at Dehradun
    • Age: Maximum 42 Years
    • Qualification: Graduate with Major in Mathematics, Finance Management & Accounting and Master Degree in Social Sciences and/or MBA operations management with at least 08-10 years experience in development Project/Programs, worked at 5 years extensively in monitoring projects/programs both qualitative and quantitative, Experience in designing MIS, data Collection, analysis and patterns building. Good communication skills – report writing and presentations, knowledge of base line tools, participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA Module). Training in monitoring and evaluation tools is essential.
    • Monthly emoluments Maximum Rs. 45,000/- per month Cost to Project.
  • Manager-Financial Services: 01 Post at Dehradun
    • Age: Maximum 42 Years
    • Qualification: BBA or Graduate in commerce and MBA with specialization in finance and/or Post Graduate Diploma in Banking or CAIIB. At least 8-10 years work experience in equity, debt and venture capital products and services and procedures of banks and other financial institutions, skills in developing finance module for capacity building, Proficient in financial analysis, ratios and trends interpretations and benchmarks, exposure to micro & small scale financing especially in rural areas, ability to work with value and supply chains constructs, trained in financial modeling.
    • Monthly emoluments Maximum Rs. 45,000/- per month Cost to Project.
  • District Project Manager: 01 Post at Uttarkashi
    • Age: Maximum 42 Years
    • Qualification: Graduate in Mathematics/Economic/Commerce/Engineering from recognized university and MBA with specialization in operations management or Master in Social Entrepreneurship with at least 08-10 years experience in development programs and resources planning, sound knowledge of SHGs/Federation/CBOs functioning, hands on experiences in managing partnerships and working with varied stakeholders e.g. government, private sector service providers, NGOs formal & non formal financial institutions. Ability to prepare and analyses budgets/financial statements/project targets and draw out trends that feed into planning and management decisions. Excellent skills in resources (HR, Financial, materials & others) coordination, management and negotiation. Knowledge of prudent company law for fulfilling statutory compliance, exposure to mountain region in micro & small scale financing and enterprise development.

  • Manager-Federation Development: 01 Post at Almora
    • Age: Maximum 42 Years
    • Qualification: Graduate in any discipline and Master in Social Sciences and/or PGDM, IRMA or Xavier Institute or Master in Rural development. At least 06 years experience in Community development programs with 3 years field experience in CBO/Group methodology. Exposure to mountain region in micro & small scale financing and enterprise development, ability to work with multiple stakeholders especially in structured output and outcome based partnership and ability to work with value and supply chain framework. Trained in CBOs/Self Help Groups/Solidarity Groups methodology.
    • Monthly emoluments Maximum Rs. 45,000/- per month Cost to Project.
  • Asst. Manager-Enterprise Promotion & Capacity Building: 01 Post at Chamoli
    • Age: Maximum 42 Years
    • Qualification: BBA or Graduate of any discipline and MBA with specialization in Marketing from a premier institute with at least 5 years experience in marketing and human resources development and knowledge of business operations, supply & value chain management. Good knowledge of methods of capacity building, resource mobilization and planning, skill in development business modules and management of training. Proficient in business analysis, exposure to micro & small scale enterprises especially in rural area and team builder. Ability to analyze market dynamics for developing markets management competencies among entrepreneurs, trained in business training modules.

  • Asst. Manager-Enterprise Development: 01 Post at Tehri
    • Age: Maximum 42 Years
    • Qualification: BBA or Graduate in any discipline and MBA with specialization in operation or Master in Social Entrepreneurship from a premier institute with at least 5 years experience in business development and resources planning with some rural exposure especially for the mountain areas, good knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis and proficient in business modeling and analysis, exposure to micro & small scale enterprises especially in rural areas.

  • Asst. Manager-Technical Services: 01 Post at Uttarkashi
    • Age: Maximum 42 Years
    • Qualification: Post Graduate in Agriculture with specialization in agronomy/Horticulture/Forest Management and/or Diploma in forestry and/or MBA Agri-business or allied fields. At least 5 years of experience in mountain areas providing technical knowhow to farmers using participatory techniques in agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, forestry, soil & water conservation, energy conservation, minor irrigation. Worked with farmers on aromatic and medicinal plants including NTFP & Eco tourism and in designing & implementation of community based field demonstrations and its replications. Proficient in designing technical services for potential and existing micro and small businesses, ability to design field level demonstrations for transferring knowledge and skills to farm and nonfarm clients/beneficiaries, good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Monthly emoluments Maximum Rs. 26,000/- per month Cost to Project.
  • Asst. Manager-Financial Services: 01 Post at Tehri
    • Age: Maximum 42 Years
    • Qualification: BBA or Graduate in Commerce and MBA with specialization in Finance or Post Graduate Diploma in Banking or CAIIB.   • Coordination Officer: 02 Post at Almora & Chamoli
    • Age: Maximum 42 Years
    • Qualification: Post Graduate in Social Sciences/MSW in Community Development and/or Master in Rural Development/MBA Rural Development. At least 5 years of experience in planning and managing development programs including livelihood interventions with at least 3 years field experience in CBO/Group methodology especially in the state of Uttarakhand. Exposure to mountain region in micro & small scale financing and enterprise development. Ability to work with multiple stakeholders especially in structured output and outcome based partnership. Ability to work with value and supply chain constructs (framework), to train CBOs/Self Help Groups/Solidarity Groups methodology.
    • Monthly emoluments Maximum Rs. 26,000/- per month Cost to Project.
